St. Clair Hospital is Hiring a Clinical Psychologist - #1996 Near Pittsburgh, PA
Summary
As a member of the Department of Psychiatry at St. Clair Hospital, this position will provide program oversight and will supervise the clinical staff who provide clinical services to a diverse population of patients in an inpatient setting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in clinical counseling psychology and completion of an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited year-long internship.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Pennsylvania.
- Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system. Familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Evidence of excellence in providing evidence-based treatment to a diverse population in group and individual settings. Demonstrated competence in crisis intervention, assessing the need for psychiatric hospitalization, handling psychiatric emergencies, and supervising referrals and transfers for post-hospital placement or transfer to a higher intensity treatment facility.
- Demonstrated excellence in diagnosis, including mastery of diagnostic nomenclature and understanding best practices in diagnostic evaluations
- Demonstrated multicultural competency
- Experience and interest in teaching and supervising trainees
- Prior experience administering and interpreting psychological tests
